Through the eyes of a street sweeper aching for a long-lost sister, we experience nostalgia and loss during a vibrant carnival night in Rio. Against the backdrop of a beautiful samba soundtrack , we are drawn into a world where melancholia and joy can co-exist. We are captivated by the film’s charm, playfulness and poetic storytelling.
Samba Infinito moves us and makes us at the same time frantically go looking for our dancing shoes – wanting nothing more than to join the carnival community pulsating through the Rio night.
The winning film receives a purchase offer from SVT – Sveriges Television.
