Good to Know

Here you’ll find information about everything you need to know to attend Filmfest.

The Program

Our program is divided into different screening sections and sessions. A section consists of several sessions, and a session often includes multiple films.

Age Limit

Unless otherwise stated, the recommended age for the films we show is 15 years. In cases where a different age recommendation applies, it will be indicated in the information for that particular session. For parties and events during the festival, the age limit is 18 years.

Language

The program includes information about the language spoken in each film and whether it has subtitles, as well as the subtitle language. Most films are shown with English dialogue or subtitles.

Film Screenings

Admission to the theaters begins 10 minutes before the session starts. Show your ticket and festival pass (if you have one) to the staff at the door. Shortly before the screening begins, someone from the festival will welcome the audience. If a filmmaker of one of the films is present, a Q&A session will be held immediately after the screening.

Seating

For most screenings, seating is unnumbered. However, exclusive screenings (except the opening ceremony) have numbered seats. Events such as sing-alongs and the Children’s Films also have numbered seating.
