Coraline
Stop motion magic at its best when Henry Selick meets Neil Gaiman in 11-year-old Coraline, who is forced to move with her parents to a new house. There she has to look after herself, and wishes her parents had more time - and cooked better food. One night she follows a little mouse, finds a secret door, and ends up in a house just like her own. There is an "other mother" and an "other father", who has unlimited time, and who cooks the most amazing food. But is it just their button eyes that are a little weird? Coraline's world is fantastic, and the craftsmanship behind the film is phenomenal. For example, the characters are 3D printed, and Coraline alone had over 6,000 printed and hand-painted face parts!
