A nostalgic look back at 1990s China. In the factory's janitor's office, Xiaou Zhou hands out coveted tickets to a unique movie screening. When the tickets are torn, Zhou can finally join the rest of the audience in experiencing Truffaut's The 400 Blows.

Come and feel the smell of asphalt and cigarettes in a documentary about a group of friends who skate. It's close and easy with conversations that belong to youth and summer nights. The uncertainty of the future is discussed, and dreams fly as high as the skateboards.

Places that were once full of life are by day empty, dilapidated, and abandoned. But at night, they are magically filled with the glow of disco lights and pulsating techno music. A minimalistic musical that gives life and hope to what has been forgotten.

With many commitments, we adults lose the ability to live life with the passion of children. This passion makes the 11-year-old friends Samar, Joud, and Emad run away from school for a day's adventure. Life lessons can sometimes be as important as school lessons.

In one single stable half-shot, we follow the work of a policeman during a running race. Carry the riot fence, keep order, and get rid of all homeless who are in the way. Too bad one of them is dead. Pity for those trying to run their race then.

A father lives with his son in a hut at an extreme height in the mountains. The father's job is to sell ice in the city and to get there they have to parachute - every day. The film has no dialogue, but it is not needed in this beautiful animation.
