Feature film debutant Michal Blaško gives us an alienation drama about Irina and her son Igor, who have left Ukraine and created a life for themselves in the Czech Republic. When Igor ends up in hospital as a result of an assault, a chain of choices and consequences starts that puts at risk both what they have built and the lives of innocent people. Past conflicts and society's preconceived notions and prejudices direct suspicions against the romani people of the city, and both activists and the mayor take the chance to score points and thrust another knife into the romani body. Although no one saw what happened, not even Igor himself. Or? It's tough and heavy, and a reminder to get to grips with our own prejudices. So now do it!
