Ten years after the tragedy where the father was murdered with an ax and the mother disappeared, the siblings Mikko, Maria and Matilda meet to take care of what the parents left behind. Now officially orphans, they take the ferry out to the island where the house they grew up in is located, surrounded by forest, forest and forest. The elements of the horror film are here - a deserted house that the siblings are forced to spend the night in after the last ferry has left, and supernatural elements that creep in. Matilda is confronted with the cage she was locked in that dark night. Maria relives memories that shaped her life forever. And Mikko gets unexpected use of his expert knowledge of annual rings. And the question is, what's scarier - family secrets or trees?
