This hybrid documentary takes us on a journey into a world without men. The island tradition is, that the women choose the image that will represent them in their grave after they’re gone. Realuty and subconscious mix, as the author questions: “How does it feel to have a family tree consisting only of women? What do our ancestress’ whisper from their silent portraits?”

It is the last day of the year and night falls on the small town of Toyama, Japan. A man goes to the public bath to retrieve a forgotten object. But once inside, the promise of a hot bath compels him to stay.

Two babies are waiting to be born. One is an ordinary child. The second is a trickster. Twins are already itself a trickster prank of the nature. But here, next to an ordinary child, there is a visual copy of him breaking all the rules from the beginning.

One day, a girl living in a village sees blood on her panties. She’s having menstruation, but she doesn’t know what it is. She hesitates to ask someone and tries to discover on her own. She finally finds an answer, but that answer is only the part of the cycle she’s in.

Dogs walking on the breakdown lane, bachelorettes partying in the car and a bored child looking for something to do. Thousands of impatient travellers are trapped in the traffic jam of the century. Ahead lies the Gotthard mountain, one of the longest tunnels in the world, the gateway to the sunny South. Glued to the asphalt, climate activists are heating up the mood even more. Who will snap first.

A husband and wife married for 5 years, own a Odong-Odong at the carnival together, spending their days entertaining and taking care of other people’s children without any of their own. Between meddling relatives, self-doubt and an explosive confrontation, they uncover why they have not been blessed with a child.
