Arne Goes to Space Opens the Festival
We can finally reveal that Lars Vega’s Toronto-selected Arne Goes to Space will have its European premiere at Filmfest Sundsvall – and will be this year’s opening film!
Arne Goes to Space is a warm, quirky sci-fi comedy from northern Sweden, reuniting Rolf Lassgård and Lennart Jähkelfor the first time since The Hunters (Jägarna), alongside Hollywood legend Kiran Shah.
The film is directed by Lars Vega, a true festival favourite who has taken part in all nine editions of Filmfest Sundsvall. He will, of course, be joining us at the opening to talk about the film.
The film is produced by Nexiko and Anette Brantin and distributed by NonStop Entertainment. It will be released in Swedish cinemas on 20 November.
