Congratulations, Please!
The Stone City Award for Best Swedish Short Film goes to Please, directed by Anna Mantzaris!
The jury’s motivation:
“With humour and tenderness this film portrays the human conditions of loneliness in today’s world, the longing for connection and to be loved. It balances absurdity, comedy and compassion with remarkable sensitivity, creating a melancholic tone and unforgettable characters. For its high artistic standards and original way of shaping a universe, the jury awards the Stone City Award for Best Swedish Short to Please by Anna Mantzaris.”
The film receives SEK 50,000 from the Swedish Film Institute and SEK 20,000 from Scen & Film, as well as free beverages from Vasa Bryggeri for the next film production.
The jury consisted of Miguel Dias, Kristina Humle and Jana Riemann.
