Folkbildning - ett levande kulturarv
The documentary “Folkbildning - ett levande kulturarv” explores adult education in general and Hola Folk High School in particular, from its founding in 1896 to its activities today. The starting point is Hola’s founder, elementary school teacher and cantor Johan Sandler, but the film also examines the role of adult education in a broader context. Hola Folk High School in Kramfors Municipality is one of Sweden’s oldest folk high schools, and through interviews and photographs, the film offers a unique historical account of the school’s development and a society in transition.
