Joen poika - Älvens son
Joen poika is a poetic reflection on life, time and belonging. We follow photographer Jaakko Heikkilä from the rushing river at Kukkolankoski in northern Finland to his second home in Harlem, New York. Between fishing traditions, everyday encounters and reunions with old friends, he reflects on humanity, memory and the world through the work of his lifetime. Images that seek out what we share beyond borders and distances.
