Delara Soltan-Zadeh delivers an excellent performance as a nervous, constantly on-edge mother. An exploratory film examining the safety of the home in relation to everything beyond our control that flows in and out – from tap water to digital streams. Melker Alexanderson’s wonderfully free-jazz-inspired saxophone over the end credits perfectly frames the film’s themes.

When Shahab takes his uncle on a digital journey back to Iran, the family’s old video tapes intertwine with virtual landscapes. Through memories, distance and time, a quiet portrait emerges of exile, longing and the impossibility of ever truly returning.

Behind the polished façade of the summer’s graduation celebrations lie cracks that cannot simply be smiled away. Old grievances, silences and loyalties surface on a day that should be about the future.
